Syed Nazakat is an award-winning journalist and editor-in-chief of the Centre for Investigative Journalism India, a non-profit organization he founded to promote the cause of watchdog journalism in India. He will speak about tools and techniques needed for conducting cross-border investigations – challenges and pitfall, particularly from a perspective of an Asian journalist. He can offer insights based on his work in Asia and working on major cross-border stories such as human trafficking from AfghanistanArms smuggling from Bangladesh to India (and to Singapore, China) and India's anti-terror operations in Nepal against Pakistan backed militants.
